I'm 27, half Vietnamese, have no formal training in the kitchen and I live in Bellingham, WA hence the blog name. We find ourselves in a college town where Pita Pit is king (mostly because it is downtown and open until 3 am for the drinking crowd). Let's just say that Bellingham is not known for it's culinary ability. Though, there are a few diamonds in the rough.
Enough about me, here is my mission: Share the recipes and ideas with everyone who wants to listen in hopes that it will expand palates and confidence. I want everyone to know that home made is often worth the time and effort in this fast-paced McWorld. And a bonus for all of you who happen to live in or are visiting Bellingham (hello 2010 Olympics!) reviews of the restaurants by a regular working class foodie. So pre heat the oven and season the cast iron skillet, here we go...
